Hello, my name is Aushila Watson. I was born in May 1993. I was born in Northwest Ohio. I was raised in a blended family and I have more siblings than I have fingers or toes. I went to moslty charter schools with a few public schools sprinkled in as well as spent my freshman year at an all-girl catholic high school. I graduated in 2012. 🎓
I graduate in December 2025 with my bachelors in Journalism with concentration in Public Relations and Advertising. I will also have a minor in Spanish. I have been thinking of what is next post-graduation, so far I've come up with nothing. In a perfect world, I would work while living in LA or NYC for a popular well-known fashion, makeup, or clothing brand. I would have my own office, seek out brands, and come up with marketing strategies much like Emily In Paris. Eventually I would be transferred to an overseas office and in the midst of it all I would still maintain my LLC and maybe create another eBook about my journey with instructions on how I got to where I was. 😉
I joined "The World's Greatest Navy" on Tuesday, April 14, 2015. I went in as air designation called a Aviation Ordnance. Basically all I did was do scheduled and unscheduled maintaince on gun systems and their counterparts as well as other means of mass destruction. Sound badass right? See yeah, cuz, no. It was hard work. Extremely physically demanding and I hated every minute of it. As they say in the Navy, "choose your rate, choose your fate." ⚰️
After spending some time in Pensacola, I made my way to San Diego where I was stationed on North Island at the foresaken Fleet Readiness Center Southwest from December 11, 2015 - mid September 2020. Worst 5 years of my life. Terrible leadership from the moment I got there. I had a few who tried to have my back, but the depth of their effectiveness was never deep enough to be effective. I appreciate them, though. I remember I was supposed to get a specific score for my evaluation and I got it, only for it to taken back due to administrative error and lack of awareness on the supervisors end. This led to me being fucked over. My vendetta began then and there. 👊🏽
I was stationed in Okinawa, Japan from October 8, 2020 - March 18, 2020 at a munitions command for shore duty. It was a breathe of fresh air, and almost made me consider reelisting. ALMOST. 😅 This was during COVID but in those times, I was still able to find my way to mainland and went on to see Hokkaido, Osaka, Tokyo, Kyoto. 🇯🇵
2 deployments, 2 detachments, 2 commands, countless underway missions, 7 years and 2 months later I am a honorably discharged veteran. I cried in that Silverdale office over in Washington State as my DD-214 came hot off the printer. I settled in Katy, Texas until eventually moving to the Southwest end of Houston. Took the trip of my life to Italy and Greece for 15 days. Enrolled in school, got my VA disability in order. Started school. I've been to Belize, Guatemala, Spain, England, France, Portugal since I've been out. ⚓️
Since I've been out, I have obtained an LLC, came up with a concept for a digital product. A reaally great friend of mine designed it for me bringing my vision to life. I really owe her one. My eBook "Content Creation For Beginners" is essentially about the 101, or the basics of content creation as well as things I feel have helped me grow as a content creator. My eBook will be released on Friday, January 31st on Shopify. Make sure to show your support. 🫂
This particular blog isn't as visual with the pictures, just words on screen. Just wanted to write something about myself real quick. 😉
