What is EF Ultimate Break? EF, stands for education first. I stumbled across this site sometime around the beginning of 2019 with one of best girlfriends and we decided to take a chance. I was still in the Navy at the time, and was looking for some adventure during holiday standoff. (military terms) At first we thought it was scam. Gladly, we were wrong.
We decided to go to Reykjavik, Iceland for 6 days in December 2019. When we arrived it, it was around 8am and it was pitch black outside! The sun did not start to rise until almost 11am and began to set around 3:30 ish, everyday! Flights, ground transportation, hotels, breakfast, and 2 dinners were included. The included food was OK, I feel as though the food I and friends sought out was much better. Iceland was a dream. The Exeter Hotel was the name of our stay and it was really nice. From spa-like showers to heated bathroom floor and toilet seat, I felt I could sink into the mattress. I got to pick my bestie as my roomie.
The tour guide was a local named Perla and she was a visionary. She was overly excited to share her country, tell use its rich history and she was truly such a breath of fresh air. She smiled, even spoken in her native tongue sometimes, told us few things about herself and kept us all engaged.
Each day was perfectly crafted, as we did walking tours and even some driven ones. There was so much free time, and I remember being so tired after each day due to the time difference adjustment and sleeping on each bus ride; everyone did. It was cold of course, freezing but it did not matter, the experience was worth it for sure. Did I mention our tour bus was hot pink?
I know what you're wondering, did you see the Northern Lights and did go to the Blue Lagoon. Short answer is: yes.
The Blue Lagoon was everything! It was a geothermic spa located in a lava field in the Southwestern part of Iceland. It is manmade and heated by power station fed by volcanic energy. Even though we were outside in the December frost, the lagoons water was very warm. Temperatures ranging from 98-104 degrees F! We were given masks, as we were told the volcanic silica clay was great for our skin for gentle exfoliating. IT WAS!
EF Ultimatebreak was a one stop shop for me and my group. From bi-weekly to monthly payments plans, I was able to afford my trip. I was even given a donation link for family and friends to be able to donate! In order to travel with EF, you must be between 18-35 years old, and have a passport. On their site they have tons for destinations set up sort of the same type of way. I went with with a group, but it was so great if you're a solo traveler as well. You may come alone, but only to leave with new friends for life. ❤️
In 2023, embark on new adventure, go to places people only dream about! You only get one life and tomorrow is not promised so do it, do it now. Want to check them out? I can save you $100 at checkout when you book! ➡️ http://www.efultimatebreak.com/?ba=UAAushila100
