It's been just about 4 months since my last post and I got to say that life was doing its thing. The Spring semester concluded and I managed to effortlessly finished with all A's! Just a few days after the semester ended, I went back to NYC back in May for the second time and met one of my best friends up there that I hadn't seen in 3 years. The reunion literally had me in tears. We made our way through the subways and stayed at the illustrious top boutique hotel called Arlo NoMad. It was perfectly centered in downtown Manhattan and the million dollar views were to die for to be honest.
I turned 30 this year, and that has been bittersweet. I can't believe I have actually been alive this long and I've been doing this adulting thing for about 12 years now. Where did the time go? Weirdly enough I don't actually have any regrets thus far. Who said the 20's are the best years of your life? It's simply not true. I spent my 20's in agony or should I say oceans of anxiety and depression that threaten to drown me, not to mention my financial stability or lack thereof, I should say, even though I was enlisted.
What have I learned in 30 years? Time is truly an illusion. Giving yourself an end date or an ultimatum does nothing but make you worry. You should do things in your own time and when you think is right, contrary to popular belief. The only timeline you're on is your own. No, you don't have to, and probably won't have the dream apartment, house, car and significant other by 21, hell 25, and that's ok. Comparing yourself to others, trying to the future or force a bond is detrimental and ultimately exhausting to say the least. *HAKUNA MATATA* Friends and money come and go like a swinging door. Self-care is your responsibility as well as healing your traumas. What's meant for you won't miss you, be patient. I am not a patient person. Lastly, I was born to be successful in every sense of the word because it's been in me.
June. Few weeks were a bore. By the 3rd week, I had one of the best trips of my life in the beautiful Belize 🇧🇿 Shoutout to my tour group and guide, you all made it so amazing! Out of all my EF groups this hands down was the best group of people I could have shared 10 days with. Guatemala 🇬🇹 was equally as amazing, and beautiful as it was it was such a privilege to have seen the Mayan ruins up close!
July. I went to Europe again, but this time to Spain 🇪🇸, and I have a story! This was my 4th EF trip and all in all it was great trip. The accommodations weren't my favorite, but that didn't really matter much. Wine, tapas, flamenco, and Cheetah Girls! It was so HOT! I went to Madrid and got to see where they filled the infamous scenes for the hit Netflix show Money Heist! The Alcázar of Seville where Game of Thrones scenes were shot and The Plaza de España where scenes from Star Wars was filmed! Toledo, where I saw the most beautiful gothic cathedrals! I made my way to Córdoba, Cádiz, Granada, Valencia and Barcelona!
Park Güell was one of the infamous back drops for the hit Disney Channel original movie Cheetah Girls 2! The La Sagrada Familia was one of the most beautiful things I ever got to lay my eyes on!
On another note, I met and exceeded my social media goals for 2023! I almost up 15K on YouTube, was able to join the partnership program, I made my SHEIN commission goal, my Instagram engagement has grown! I will be completely monetized for this year is out, that is the goal.
School starts in a few weeks, so it's time to get back into scholar mode! If you're interested in traveling with EF, go to my links page today $100 off your first trip! Until next time, don't live vicariously, live in color!
